A real holiday

Today I spent most of the day talking to all sorts of people to prepare for my holiday.

I can't recall a time where I actually relaxed and not worry about school or work. Usually even when I'm on my paid vacation, I still get calls regularly for help. In the end, I end up spending most of my paid vacation working. Therefore, I asked my boss for time off since we finished our work and my paid vacation days are accumulating. Surprisingly, he agreed.

My best friend, who is currently studying in Australia, invited me to stay at their house. And so I decided to take up on their offer and one of my co-workers asked if she could tag along since she was in the same position as I was.

I spoke to my professors and they said that since I knew what I was doing, and my mid-term results proved that, they agreed to have me hand in my assignments early and incoming assignments will be given through student bulletin.

I also spoke to my student adviser, and she didn't seem happy that I was taking a one week leave of absence. But in the end, she agreed because of my grades. My hard work and sleep sacrifice paid off.

I spent a couple of hours panicking while packing and talking on the phone with my co-worker L. I was excited yet a little afraid that I might forget something important such as my passport.

In any case, Australia, here we come!
